Dictator Digest v0.2

The 2nd draft of my Dictator book is about 25% done so far, just going over all my match ups again and being even more thorough. Composition notebooks are so amazing. :O

I feel like just the act of writing it is really making me remember more and more details.

Trip to Dallas

Went to Dallas and got to play some really good players. As always, I really felt like I learned some things and have been seeing the game a bit differently.

Growing is healthy and I hope that it continues. : )

3S

We’ve just met and you don’t even realize that you intrigue me. I’ve been thinking about you and want to hang out again. I know deep down that it probably won’t happen though.

The son of Dallas

I saw the fruits of my recent labor today in some casuals with friends. Feels good to play someone who has such a different set of fundamentals. A better set at that. I’m slowly absorbing them and gradually working them into my game.

Thank you Cambell, Jop, and Adnan for sending me your son. He has been most helpful in teaching me the ways of high level footsies.

I’m excited for my upcoming tournaments so I can debut my new technology. : )

Training doesn’t stop!

I will most likely be attending Season’s Beatings in Ohio this year for the first time. I’m trying to go to more majors and get some more high level experience under my belt. My temporary roommate happens to also be the best sparring partner I could ask for.

I feel as though I’m growing again. : )

Serious

I’ve been labbing it up in training mode, looking for some things I can do in unfamiliar matchups. Special combos, punishes, what I can be punished for, etc..

I probably should’ve done this a while back tbh. It’s not like I run into a lot of Hakans, but at least I know EX PC can be punished by heavy slide lol.

Video

The highlight of my play in the SBO qualifier. I tried very hard and just came up short. Next time I will crush him.

Photo Taken by Adam Deats. That’s Joe Epstein and Mark “Mopreme” Rogoyski in the picture sitting with me watching all the top 8’s wrap up on Sunday at Evo. Legendary guys in the fighting game community. Joe & Adam wrote the MvC3 Bible, and Morpreme wrote the best guide for 3S ever made.
I hope one day to be able to contribute to the community as they have.

2011 SBO Qualifiers: Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition

After evo I was inspired to get better, but also disappointed in how terrible AE really has turned out. 12 Fei Longs and 8 Yuns in top 32. No charge characters at all!. I watched as Ono realized how imbalanced the game he had made was and I listened as he attempted to speak English so he could apologize for how terrible of a job he did balancing it.

I’m toughing it out for now and I’ve been training for SBO qualifiers, which we’ve been fortunate enough to be awarded here in Austin. Teams to beat are Hsien Chang/John Choi, Iperu/801strider, Viet/Jan, and me/my partner of course! The tournament is in about 11 hours and I will be playing and commentating on the stream. Let’s hope it’s hype!
